Terms of Service

The service

Citenzo helps you measure whether AI engines (such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews) mention and cite your brand, find gaps, and earn mentions on the sources those engines rely on. Some features are free; some require a paid plan or a prepaid balance.

Eligibility & account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. We use passwordless sign-in — keep access to your email secure, as anyone with it can access your account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the accuracy of the information you provide.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, deceptive or infringing;
• abuse, overload, scrape or attempt to bypass limits, rate-limits or security of the Service or its free tools;
• resell or expose the Service to third parties except as expressly allowed by your plan;
• submit data you have no right to submit, or use the Service to harass or harm others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

Your content & responsibility

You are responsible for the information and content you submit and for using the Service lawfully. You confirm you have the right to submit what you provide. If you use the Service for business purposes, you agree to cover the reasonable costs we incur from a third-party claim that arises out of your unlawful use of the Service or the content you submit. Nothing in this section affects your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Billing, payments & taxes

Payments are processed by Stripe using Managed Payments. This means Stripe acts as the Merchant of Record (the seller of record) for your purchase and is responsible for collecting and remitting applicable taxes (such as VAT). Prices are shown before you pay.

• Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Balance top-ups add prepaid funds to your account, used to pay for services such as placements.
• You authorize Stripe to charge your payment method for the plan or amount you select.
• Prices are shown and charged in US dollars (USD). If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount; any applicable VAT is added at checkout based on your country.
• On your bank or card statement, the charge may appear as “LINK.COM* CITENZO.COM” — the “LINK.COM” prefix is our payment processor's (Stripe) descriptor and reflects a genuine Citenzo purchase, not an unknown or fraudulent charge.

We may change subscription prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a change, and it takes effect at your next renewal — if you don't agree, you can cancel before then.

Refunds & EU right of withdrawal

• Subscriptions: cancel any time to stop future charges. We do not refund the current period once it has started, except where the law requires.
• Prepaid balance: unused balance is refundable on request, less any third-party or processing fees; balance already spent on delivered services is non-refundable.
• Get Mentioned orders: once an order is placed and work or a third-party placement has begun, it is non-refundable. If we cannot fulfill an order, we refund or credit it.
• Free tools: no charge, so no refund applies.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. By starting a subscription or ordering a placement, you ask us to begin immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal for services fully performed within that period. Refunds, where due, are processed through Stripe.

Get Mentioned & no guarantees

Get Mentioned earns your brand disclosed, legitimate mentions on third-party sources. Placements on sites we do not control are marked as sponsored where applicable (see our Disclosure).

AI answers are probabilistic and change over time. We do not and cannot guarantee that any engine will cite you, that you will reach a particular score or ranking, or that a placement will remain live. We measure visibility before and after and act in good faith, but outcomes are not guaranteed.

Intellectual property

We own the Service, our software, content and brand. You own the data you submit and the reports generated for you. You grant us the limited licence needed to process your data and provide the Service. You may use your reports for your own business purposes.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that results are complete or error-free, or that the Service will be uninterrupted. Nothing here excludes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim (or €100 if you paid nothing).

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law — including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Suspension & termination

You can stop using the Service and close your account any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or to comply with law. We do not delete your data on a lapse without notice — see your account for data-retention behavior.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms; we will change the date above and, for material changes, notify account holders. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal and applicable EU law. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Portugal, without affecting mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.

General

• If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in full effect.
• These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Disclosure, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
• You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign them to a successor — for example on a merger, acquisition or sale of the business.
• If we do not enforce a right straight away, that is not a waiver of it.
• We contact you by email or through the Service, so please keep your email address current.
