Placement Types
The main ways a paid mention gets published — guest post, sponsored article, PR syndication or link insertion. Each differs in control, permanence and price.
When you order in Get Mentioned, your mention is published in one of a few formats — and the format matters as much as the site. In plain terms:
Guest post — a full article written around your brand and published on the site, with your link inside. The most common and flexible format: the topic and the link are yours to shape.
Sponsored article — like a guest post but explicitly a paid/branded piece, usually on bigger media and sometimes labelled as sponsored.
PR syndication — your press release or story pushed across a network of news outlets (often big names). Fast and wide, but lighter-touch: the same piece appears on many sites, and the links are sometimes nofollow.
Link insertion (also called a niche edit) — your link added into an existing, already-published article on the site. Cheaper and quicker than a new article, but you don't control the surrounding content.
For AI visibility, a genuine editorial guest post or sponsored article on a trusted, in-niche site tends to do the most; PR syndication is good for broad reach; link insertions are a low-cost supplement.
