Spam Score, from Moz, rates a site from 0 to 17 on how many 'spammy' traits it shares with sites that have been penalised by Google. It's a risk flag, not a verdict — a moderate score can be fine, but a high one means proceed with caution.
For placements, prefer low spam scores: a link from a risky site does less for your AI visibility and can even hurt.
